Virgin Most Powerful
Life on earth is a warfare. From the first dawn of intelligence till the sigh in death a bitter struggle is raging about me. The boon at stake is my immortal soul. The battle is to the death, no quarter can be asked or given. If I win the fight, it means eternal salvation; if I lose, I shall be damned in hell forevermore.
My enemy is no ordinary foe. I do not struggle against weak flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness. Every moment are the forces of Satan pitted against me. Every moment are the shafts of his venom hurled against the battlement of my soul.
In my weakness I must have a protector. What shall it be? Whom can I call upon, powerful enough to cope with so mighty a foe? Who better than Mary, the great Queen of heaven, at whose common legions of mighty angels stand ready and eager to do her will?
Mary will drive back the forces of hell that surround me. She will obtain light for my intellect and strength for my will that I may not fall into sin and lose my soul.
With the aid of Mary I am safe; without it, I am lost forever.
